Fort Langley, the birthplace of British Columbia

Fort Langley is now part of "The Township of Langley. Langley is said to be the place where city and country meet.

Member of Legislative Assembly

Its MLA is Hon. Rich Coleman, a former member of the RCMP and security specialist. He was first elected in 1996. He represents the British Columbia Liberal Party. Mr. Coleman was appointed Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General on June 5, 2001.
